A lighthouse museum

#myhiddengems I have always liked the sight of light houses. This one even comes with a little museum that had videos in English. I paid barely 4 bucks and there was a lovely garden too to explore. With good weather like when i was there, this place does draw a fine number of tourists. The trip to Oleron island was fascinating and the museum here gives rich insights into the history of Oleron. There are considerable steps involved and since it can get crowded. They have a limit to the number of people they let in. So, it may take a few minutes more than it should if it's a busy season. The view from the lighthouse is splendid. Plenty of restaurants and refreshment places not too far from the lighthouse.
