My amazing Rotterdam architectural trip!

My recent trip to Rotterdam was a vibrant exploration of this dynamic Dutch city, known for its innovative architecture and cultural landmarks. I visited several iconic spots, each offering a unique glimpse into Rotterdam’s character. First, I explored the Kube Houses and Blaak (Kubuswoningen), a striking architectural marvel designed by Piet Blom. These tilted, cube-shaped homes, perched on concrete pillars, were both disorienting and fascinating. Walking through the complex, I marveled at the bold geometry and even peeked inside one of the show cubes to see how residents adapt to the unconventional angles. It’s a testament to Rotterdam’s forward-thinking spirit. Next, I wandered to Museumpark, a cultural hub surrounded by lush greenery. The park’s serene vibe was a perfect contrast to the city’s urban energy. I didn’t have time to visit all the museums, but the proximity of institutions like the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum and Kunsthal Rotterdam made it clear this area is a treasure trove for art lovers. #rotterdam Then, I strolled through the Koopgoot (“Buying Gutter”), Rotterdam’s bustling shopping street. This sunken pedestrian walkway, officially called Beurstraverse, was packed with shops and cafes. I enjoyed the lively atmosphere, grabbed a coffee, and browsed a few stores, soaking in the city’s modern commercial pulse. I also visited the “Old harbour” a beautiful place where you can have a drink at the water.
