I spent hours wandering the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, with its towering castle walls and ancient architecture. Entrance to the Palace of the Grand Master was around €6, and it’s worth every cent for the historical deep dive. After soaking in the culture, I headed to Elli Beach for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters. The beach is free, and it's close to some great little seaside tavernas where you can grab a delicious seafood lunch. Lindos, with its whitewashed buildings and ancient acropolis, is also a must-visit, just a short drive away.
