Rebun Island, Hokkaido. Cape Sukoton, the northernmost part of the island, is about an hour by bus from Kafuka Ferry Terminal, the gateway to Rebun Island, to Sukoton. When you get off the bus at Sukoton Cape, you will find Shima no Hito Rebunjima Main Store. You can purchase souvenirs unique to Rebun Island. There were many fresh sea urchins and seafood, such as Rishiri kelp and salmon kelp layered rolls, and freshly caught sea urchins. There are also sweets and accessories, so you can find all the souvenirs of Rebun Island here. I went there around 10:00 on a weekday, and there were several large tourist buses parked in the parking lot, so the store was a little crowded. I was able to try some samples, and I bought a few souvenirs, and they sent them to me free of charge, which was very much appreciated. There is also a cafe attached, and the kelp soft cream made with powdered Rishiri kelp seems to be popular. There was also a toilet at the northernmost part of the island. I thought that it was truly the northernmost part of Rebun Island. It is a little far from the ferry terminal, but I highly recommend this store because you can learn a lot about the charms of Rebun Island.
