Just got back from an 11-day trip to New Zealand, and I have some honest thoughts to share...
I joined a small Chinese tour group with three other girls. We were all around the same age, and we got along really well. We took photos of each other and chatted about gossip, which was a lot of fun!
.
I really want to recommend this small tour group! Our tour guide was really nice, and I genuinely want him to have more customers. First of all, he was a good driver. It was already spring when we went, and we could take a helicopter to hike on the glacier! The mountain roads here aren't great, and I was worried about safety if I drove myself. The tour guide drove the whole way, and we didn't encounter any danger.
.
Here are some things I liked about this small tour group (I promise I'm not lying to my online friends!).
.
Transportation: We took a 9-seater business car 🚗, and our luggage came with us. It was spacious and comfortable. Although the roads in New Zealand aren't great, our tour guide was a good driver, so we didn't get carsick. He even took us to see the aurora! We saw it in more than one place! It was so beautiful that I cried.
.
Hotels: The hotels booked by this small tour group were really nice. When I was researching, I found that many tour groups take you to designated hotels, which are very noisy 👯. So before I booked, I specifically emphasized that I didn't want to go to those hotels. I wanted to be comfortable, which would make the travel experience better.
.
Food: To be honest, food in New Zealand is quite expensive 🌮🍤🍧🍛🌭🍖. But since I was there, I had to try the local specialties. I asked the tour guide to recommend a few restaurants. Fergburger in Queenstown was really good. The burgers were bigger than my face, and I couldn't finish one, haha. The lamb chops at a local restaurant next to Wakatipu were also delicious and fragrant, with no mutton smell! The tour guide also helped us book a table at the famous Mt Cook Alpine Salmon farm. The salmon was really delicious! It was just a bit expensive.
.
Group experience: I went alone, so I joined a small group to meet people and make new friends. It turned out to be a lot of fun. If you're going to New Zealand for the first time, you can consider joining a small group 💞.
Cost: Tour fee + airfare and visa + extra food and drinks + Cook Mountain glacier hike + other shopping, totaling 32,000 yuan.
I just got back from an 11-day tour in New Zealand, and here are my suggestions...
Finally, I achieved my dream of the year and successfully unlocked New Zealand😭 Although I have been back to China for many days, I still haven't recovered. I always feel empty in my heart. The aftertaste is really too big TAT The snow-capped mountains🏔️ and clear lakes🌊 that come to mind from time to time... Everything is too dreamy, I must go again in the future!
I was originally confident and prepared for a free trip. After reading a few travel guides, emmm, I still reported to the group silently. After all, it was the first time I went abroad, and English, I had already returned to the teacher. Decisively ask for help in the circle of friends, there are actually high school classmates who happened to go last year! I immediately let her push it to me, and I found a few more on the Internet to compare. The cost-effectiveness is indeed high, and the attractions are relatively complete, so I decided to try it. The overall experience of the tour is still very good, and I secretly praise my classmates here
The group fee is 2.6w/person, a total of 11 days. Air tickets, accommodation, meals, scenic spot tickets and everything are included. I also reported some additional projects. The main thing is to leave no regrets😂 The overall experience of the group is very good. There are basically more than 20 young people. The atmosphere is very good. Everyone is super punctual. The team leader is also very powerful. The whole process is well arranged. You don’t need to worry about anything. It’s really “get on the bus and sleep, get off the bus and play crazy” At this time, the happiness of the group reached its peak
The itinerary has all the classic attractions: Glowworm Cave, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Mount Cook, Christchurch, Hobbit Village, Rotorua, Auckland. To be honest, there are one or two days of itinerary that are a bit tight, but fortunately, Queenstown and Auckland have given a whole day of free activities, which is exactly where I want to go! The net celebrity big face burger in Queenstown is also arranged in the group meal. This burger is super big, the meat juice is bursting, and every bite is super satisfying😍😍 The other group meals are also good, with seafood buffet and tomahawk steak, and you can enjoy the local Maori war dance show while eating, a very novel experience😂
During the free activities, I asked our team leader, don't miss the cable car in Queenstown! It can rise to the top of the mountain in a few minutes, overlooking the beautiful scenery of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu, and you can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance, which is too healing😭😭 The buffet on the top of the mountain is also good. After eating, you can take beautiful photos on the viewing platform and check in the invincible scenery throughout the journey! Later, I also played the scooter project, the wind was super big, and it was super exciting when it was flying!!!
Share a few practical tips:
If you plan to drive by yourself, be sure to familiarize yourself with New Zealand's driving rules in advance. Right-hand drive cars really need to be adapted! The team leader said that there are Chinese people who have accidents every year, fortunately I followed the group, safe~
Many scenic spots in New Zealand require hiking, remember to bring a pair of comfortable outdoor shoes! The weather is also unpredictable, and there will be wind and rain from time to time, so windproof and rainproof clothes are necessary, and umbrellas are not very practical
New Zealand is really beautiful and worth coming to. You can find a reliable group to rush, I wish everyone can enjoy a wonderful journey! Let's talk about it haha, sisters have something to ask me to discuss together
The scenery in New Zealand can heal all the melancholy in life.
Organize the feelings from New Zealand. A 14-day trip to New Zealand is like falling into Alice's garden.
March-May is the autumn in the southern hemisphere. At this time, New Zealand has colorful colors, and the scenery flows between different towns and regions. The snow-capped peaks of Mount Cook in the distance, the layered yellow maple forest in the town...
The entire itinerary is mainly concentrated in the South Island of New Zealand. The towns and regions surrounded by nature in autumn all have their own characteristics, refreshing our perception of the scenery for those who are used to living in the city. Even the original camera of the mobile phone can take the color of the reversal film. The blue here is the color set by God for this.
▪️Kaikoura
Whale watching is our biggest expectation in the itinerary. Seeing whales jumping out of the sea is a wish that existed in adolescence. The whale watching boat sailed into the deep blue sea, and was surprised to see the moment that has always been remembered.
Kaikoura Peninsula Trail is a hiking route I like very much. Here you can overlook the coastline, and there are lazy seals and sea lions sunbathing on the distant reefs. From the seaside to the top of the mountain pasture, the scenery changes with each step, and the scenery in the oil painting is probably like this.
▪️Wanaka
Arriving in Wanaka is a sunny afternoon, lying on the lounge chair on the apartment terrace and drowsy. At night by the lake with only moonlight left, he played with the slide in the park, as if he had returned to his childhood. This is our story in the beautiful town.
Take a walk by Lake Wanaka in the early morning, the lake is bluer than the sky, reflecting the distant snow-capped mountains, groups of three or two people walking and chatting, and people passing by us from time to time, jogging, walking dogs, riding bicycles... The ducks by the lake are all walking leisurely, feeling the relaxation of Wanaka.
▪️Queenstown
The TSS Earnslaw is the only steamship still in operation in the southern hemisphere, as old as the Titanic. Get on the boat on Lake Wakatipu and head to the Walter Peak Mountain Farm on the opposite bank for dinner. Along the way, there are the colorful autumn scenery of Queenstown. Sitting on the deck, the boat slowly sails, feeling the old romance. There is also a commemorative wooden steamship refrigerator sticker on the ship, which is very delicate.
The farm also has a wool shearing performance, and the family strolls around the cute little sheep's peripheral shop, which is so good that it almost missed the return ship... In the farm surrounded by mountains and lakes, watching the golden sunset and the blue coast, it’s just beautiful to be in a daze~
▪️Hobbiton™ Movie Set
The North Island has rich geothermal landscapes and Maori culture. What impressed me most was Hobbiton. The "Lord of the Rings" and other series of movies were filmed here. There are scattered hobbit huts on the hillside, and there are smoking chimneys on the roof, as if entering the story in the movie.
Looking at the photos of New Zealand, I still feel the breath of every beautiful scenery. I want to go back and take a walk in the town~
Queenstown Super Beautiful in New Zealand🌹
#naturalbeauty
Beautiful New Zealand and other places to quietly spend a day with nature. Encountered numerous small zoos in Deer Park. The area is very beautiful. It is recommended to stop the car and play in Queenstown in winter. Turn your desired place into a road under your feet and offer Queenstown's donuts! This is Big Face Burger Bakery Drop! Completely not sweet and greasy! Super big one, I love eating it
Queenstown Super Beautiful Snow Mountain Hotel

Kamana Lake House I Queenstown Super Beautiful Snow Mountain Hotel [New Zealand's Most Beautiful Hotel Recommendation] Hotel Name: Kamana Lake House 9 Location: New Zealand. Kamana Lake House is located in Queenstown, New Zealand and features luxurious Han Dynasty rooms, making it the highest hotel in the area. Here, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Lake Wakatipu and feel the power of nature and integration as a whole. The hotel restaurant Nest Kitchen+Bar is one of the top three restaurants in Queenstown. You can also book dinner here without staying in the hotel, while staying in the hotel allows you to choose a room type with breakfast/breakfast. Besides, is there any enemy lake scenery available? It's simply amazing!
🚡Visiting Queenstown without taking the Skyline Gondola is equivalent to not visiting at all‼️
🤩If you're planning a family trip to New Zealand, the Skyline Gondola🚡 in Queenstown is highly recommended! The gondola offers a breathtaking view of the entire Queenstown area, which will undoubtedly leave you in awe. Moreover, the luge at the top of the mountain is a favorite among children, who will want to ride it again and again❤️!
🎫You can choose between a single gondola ticket or a combo ticket that includes the gondola and luge rides. For children under six years old, the ticket is only 💰20, which is a great deal! We booked a combo ticket with a specific date and three luge rides⭕ in advance, making it very convenient to exchange our tickets at the entrance.
🚡As the gondola ascends, the panoramic view of Queenstown gradually unfolds before your eyes. This is the perfect spot to admire the city and Lake Wakatipu🥰 – it's simply stunning!
💁🏻♀️The luge ride starts at the top of the mountain and slides down. First, you'll need to store your belongings in a locker (2 NZD), and then you can join the queue for the luge. There will be an instructor on-site for your first ride. The luge is quite simple to operate – just pull back to brake, push forward to go, and steer left or right↔️. Even beginners can easily get the hang of it, and each ride takes about 10 minutes! Children who cannot ride alone can share a luge with an adult.
📌Practical information:
1️⃣Parking: There are 🅿️free parking spaces at the entrance, but they are limited, so walking is recommended.
2️⃣The gondola operates from 🕑9:00-21:00, with the last descent time depending on the number of guests on the mountain. The luge is generally open from 10:00-19:00.
3️⃣There is also a 🥩buffet restaurant at the top of the mountain, which requires advance reservations. It's advisable to register with the staff in advance and request a window seat, so you can enjoy both the view and the delicious food!

Fergburger|A must-eat super Juicy burger in Queenstown.
New Zealand is a major exporter of meat products, and in addition to the well-known lamb products, in recent years, beef has been improved from being solely grass-fed to a combination of grain and grass feeding. The rich marbling has slowly increased the fame and export volume of beef steaks🥩.
As a meat-loving nation, when traveling in New Zealand, indulging in meat is a must. Fergburger is a famous burger joint in Queenstown known for its long queues🍔, especially during meal times. They serve a juicy beef burger the size of your face, and for beef lovers, you can opt for a double patty topped with a thick slice of cheese, guaranteeing an overwhelming sense of happiness❤️.
Indoor seating is limited, so you might choose to stand at the door and enjoy the outdoor sunshine☀️. The prices are also very affordable, with just a dozen or so New Zealand dollars, you can have a hearty meal. Come and give it a try!
Life advice: Visit this place before leaving Queenstown
I stayed in Queenstown for 4 days, did not play extreme projects, and took a more relaxed route:
D1⃣️
Stroll by Lake Wakatipu→Century Steamboat→ Walter Peak Ranch
D2⃣️
Deer Park→Sky Cable Car
D3⃣️
Glenorchy→Paradise Town
D4⃣️
Arrowtown
📍Lake Wakatipu
Walk from St Omer Park all the way to Queenstown Beach, the scenery along the way is never enough, I like the boat dock the most, you can tease ducks and watch seagulls fly by here.
In spring, you can see cherry blossoms, and you won't get tired of staying by the lake all day.
📍TSS Earnslaw Steamboat
A century-old steamboat the same age as the Titanic, shuttles between Queenstown Wharf and Walter Peak Plateau Ranch every day, usually 3~5 shifts a day, actually just a boat back and forth.
🎫Ticket price: Adults 99 dollars, children 49 dollars, children under 4 years old are free
The whole journey includes a 1.5-hour steamboat cruise + BBQ barbecue meal or afternoon tea + farm performance, which takes about 3.5 hours in total.
📍Walter Peak Mountain Ranch
The end point of the steamboat, this is one of the most primitive plateau ranches in New Zealand, with many cute animals to see. The farm performance show is worth watching, usually including shearing + sheepdog herding sheep.
The BBQ buffet in the steamboat project is also eaten at this ranch, and the taste is surprisingly good.
📍Deer Park
The most worthwhile place to go in Queenstown! Not only can you encounter various wild animals, but you can also overlook the entire Queenstown.
The park is very large and can only be driven in. It costs 55 dollars per car. Prepare change in advance to find a self-service feed bucket to buy feed. You may see sheep, alpacas, sika deer, pigs, wild ducks, cows and other animals.
The grassland halfway up the mountain is an excellent position to overlook Queenstown. From here, you will see more animals in the direction of another downhill.
📍Skyline Sky Cable Car
A good position to overlook Queenstown, it is recommended to go in the evening, from sunset to dark are very beautiful! But don't eat on it.
Cable car ticket: Adults 52 dollars, children 36 dollars, children under 5 years old are free.
📍Glenorchy Town
Just around Queenstown, this is known as the place with the most Middle-earth temperament, and it is also one of the locations of The Lord of the Rings. The iconic red house is located at Gleborchy Wharf. If the weather is good, you can walk by the lake.
The road from Queenstown to Glenorchy is known as one of the top ten most beautiful roads in the world, but there are actually many similar roads in New Zealand...
📍Paradise Town
Further inside Glenorchy is Paradise Town. You can see some ranches along the way. The iconic paradise sign is a must-visit place. However, the road to Paradise Town is not easy to drive. There are several puddles along the way. You need an off-road vehicle. Our SUV struggled on that road, so we returned halfway, and we don't know what the end of Paradise Town is.
📍Arrowtown
It's very close to Queenstown, half a day round trip is enough, this is a beautiful place in autumn! Other seasons can be skipped
Queenstown: A lovely resort town
Queenstown is a lovely resort town situated in the South Island of New Zealand. It is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, heart-pounding activities, and lively nightlife. The town is also home to a number of popular tourist attractions, including the Skyline Gondola, the Queenstown Gardens, and the Shotover Jet.
Queenstown is a beautiful and exciting town that is well worth a visit. If you are looking for a place to have an adventure, Queenstown is the perfect destination for you.
God’s own country- New Zealand
On my way to Mt Cook and we stopped by to take some photos of the beautiful scenery that you can’t forget once you have seen it.
It takes around 3 hours drive from the Town Centre of Queenstown and it totally worth the drive!
The weather wasn’t great when we were there but you still can see the mountains 🏔️ and the views. If you are planning to go Mt Cook, please book at least a night to stay there so that you can enjoy the track and sit down and relax with a beer or wine to look at the views.
We have actually planned to go back again next year because you will want to come back again and again for the views here.

NZ Kawarau Bridge Bungy Queenstown
When in Queenstown, everyone should go do this! it’s super Awesome!
The entire experience was phenomenal and the staff at the Kawarau Bungy Center was outstanding.
A little pricey would be the only drawback, especially once you include pictures/videos.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and professional. They really got you excited about jumping off a perfectly good bridge!!
The viewing platform was great to watch from and your friends can get good shots of you jumping off.
There is a gift shop and cafe there as well.
This is something everyone should do at least once in your life and where better than the home of bungy?

Relax in a onsen with an amazing view
We traveled to the South Island of New Zealand by car from the end of June to the beginning of July, which belongs to winter season, so how can we miss the experience of soaking in hot springs! Although the online reviews of Onsen Hot Pools are very mixed, when we made an appointment on the official website nearly three months before departure, we found that many time slots in July had already been booked. Seeing that it was so popular, we decided to give it a try. Successfully booked a traditional private indoor hot spring at dusk.
Our reserved time slot was from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We arrived 15 minutes early as required. The staff were very friendly. We choose our drinks first, the staff said they would send them to the hot springs with snacks later. At 4:55, the staff led us to the private hot spring, and also served drinks and snacks, indicating that there would be a reminder 10 minutes before the end of the time slot.
We changed our swimsuits, there were shower facilities in the private hot springs, and after a quick shower, we immediately enjoyed the hot springs. Spring water dynamics, lights, door switches, etc., can be automatically adjusted by action buttons right next to the hot spring. While enjoying the hot springs to relax our body and mind, we enjoyed the sunset and the beautiful mountains.
One hour passed without knowing it, the fatigue of rushing for the trip for several days was relieved, and we all left with satisfied smiles.
Overall, we recommend everyone to try it out. The key points of the reservation are as follows:
1. It is convenient and easy to make an
appointment on the official website, and it can
also be cancelled free of charge at the
specified time
2. There are two types of hot springs: outdoor and
indoor. It is also available for 4 people to book
together. The more number of people to share,
the cheaper for each
3. Each session is an hour
4. Be sure to make an appointment at least 2-3
months in advance as if super popular
5. The hot spring is currently undergoing
expansion work, so arrive early to be on time
You need to report to the front desk 15 minutes
before your scheduled time slot
6. It doesn't matter if you are not self-driving,
because they provide hourly pick-up and drop
off service, a small from the centre of
Queenstown.
#can’t miss experience
A must try delicacy in Queenstown which everyone will recommend which is the Fergberger. The secret behind this restaurant is to use hand-make ingredients, tender fresh meat with fresh produce every day. The amount of succulent meat, fresh veg and special sauce in the burger is so wholesome and splendid that every penny spent is well worth it.
The shop is located at 42 Shotover Street, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand.

Everyone has to try their Onsen hot pool when you are in Queenstown, New Zealand. Their idyllic cedar-lined hot tubs and a unique kiwi twist on a Japanese tradition, their exclusive pools are filled with pure water from the surrounding mountains which is heated to approx. 38.3 degrees to relax your body and soul. We received individual towel plus a complimentary drink and snack (we chose beer and ice cream) to enjoy during our rejuvenating soak.
Not to forget the awesome view that will make your experience of the Onsen more wholesome.

Queenstown Skyline Gondola
price - $46 NZD for return ticket (adult)
Highlights - the view!
Rating- 3/5
Price is a bit steep for a short gondola ride so I find it a bit hard to justify the price as the view wasn’t as good as I expected. Go only if the weather is good and view is clear.#tripblazers #mytripvlog

Walter Peak Farm in Autumn
When visiting Queenstown, you can take a ferry across the lake to visit Walter Peak farm. This farm houses various animals and they have a sheep sheering demonstration at the end of the tour. Visited in autumn and the weather was perfect. #bucketlistreboot
Gorgeous Lake in Queenstown
Lake Wakatipu is an inland lake visible from Queenstown and it is the longest lake in New Zealand. The view of this is gorgeous from every angle. When viewing from Queenstown, get to a high point and enjoy the panoramic view from above. #bucketlistreboot
MY LOVELY QUEENSTOWN
#bucketlistreboot
A trip to queenstown was the best ever trip in my entire life. I did not expect Queenstown city would be as amazing as this. I fell in love with this lovely town surrounded by amazing nature.
Easy access from any domestic airport around New Zealand, this town is approximately 1 hour plus flight from the capital city Auckland.
In terms of accomodation, a lot of option to choose from ranging from a budget one to the luxurious hotels.
If you dont rent any car, fret not as you can simply just join any group tours from the central town. A day tour to milford sounds was indeed of of thw highlights of this trip. Don't miss visiting these places if you happen to be in Queenstown.
Happy Travelling

The Queenstown Gardens
The Queenstown Gardens are just a few minutes walk from central Queenstown and offer a beautiful and tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle.
Shotover Jet River
Need adventures in New Zealand? There are lots of excitement to do in NZ apart from bungee jumping, why don’t you try shotover jet.
Trekking in Queenstown
If you’re in Queenstown, New Zealand 🇳🇿 you must hike up the Ben Lomond and trek along the Frankton Arm, the view is spectacular all the way to the airport.
Queenstown City Center
Queenstown is a compact city with beautiful mountains 🏔 lakes, garden and most important is the fresh air. Would love to go back there again.
To hike up the Ben Lomond without taking the gondola starts from the trail beside the cemetery up to the gondola station and then walk follow the sign until you arrive at the peak of Ben Lomond. The view from the Gondola station view deck is awesome, you can enjoy the view of the Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu.
It took me 7 hours to finish Ben Lomond track without taking the gondola 🚡. If you want to save time and energy, just take the gondola with the price more than 30 NZ$.
Best Onsen Experience in New Zealand
Onsen Hot Pools Queenstown is a boutique spa that will give you the ultimate relaxation experience. It might be quite pricey as it costs $150 for 2 pax for a one hour exclusive use of an onsen tub, but it is no doubt the best activity that I paid for in New Zealand!
In your private room, there is a retractable roof which allows you to switch from an indoor to an outdoor onsen experience with the push of a button. The moment the roof opens, you will be able to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the mountains across the rivers. We spent most of our time taking photos and I wish I had more time to actually enjoy the onsen experience. If only it wasn’t that pricey.

It also sit among the shore of Lake Wakatipu, allowing visitors to walk among the border of the city to enjoy the epic mountainous landscape of the region. Alternatively, there is also a cruise which is an old coal fired steamship that brings you around the lake, and serving you delicious meal while enjoying the sceneries.
The town is also home to many famous restaurants so it’s perfect for foodies!
Do however note that as the things in this town can be more expensive that other places, due to its popularity of being a tourist resort, so make sure to prepare more money while visiting here!

A Must Visit for all Sweet Tooth visiting NZ
In case you are unaware, one of the best sweets in New Zealand is the Cookie Time cookie! While they are commonly found in supermarket, this shop right here is a specialty shop that sells not just their cookies but various other sweet treats as well, such as cookie shakes, ice creams, cookie cake etc!
The shop is located right in the main town of Queenstown and it is usually crowded so be prepared for long queue especially during peak hours!
In addition to the food, there are also cookie time merchandise like gift boxes and apparels which is a perfect souvenir to bring home. Also the shop is really colorful so be sure to take plenty of instagrammable shots photos over here!
