Originally named Xianggu, it was renamed due to being surrounded by mountains and rivers. 🎈Xiangyu Ancient Castle 🛕Xiangyu City is a honeycomb-style castle, with brick, stone and wood structure, 280 meters long from east to west, 100 to 150 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of about 32,500 square meters. It was built by brothers Sun Juxiang and Sun Dingxiang in the third year of Ming Tianqi and completed in the seventh year of Ming Chongzhen. Sun Dingxiang ranked third and once served as the Deputy Imperial Envoy of the Metropolitan Procuratorate. His mansion was named 'Sandu Hall', and Xiangyu Ancient City was also known as 'Sandu Ancient City'. 😀
