Laoshan Taiqing Line｜One-Day Tour Guide & Cat Paradise

Laoshan at the end of November is unbelievably beautiful! 🍂 Taking advantage of the deep autumn, we embarked on the classic hiking route to Taiqing Palace. Not only did we get stunning mountain views, but we also encountered many adorable cats—truly a cat mountain 🐱 🚶‍♀️Route Test & Autumn Viewing Guide We went on November 15th. Although the weather wasn’t great and the sea view was unclear (little tip: strongly recommend checking the weather forecast; only on north wind days is the sea view clear!), the ginkgo trees were golden all over the mountain, and the fallen leaves formed a carpet that was pure autumn romance✨️ Uphill route: Visitor Center -> (🚌) -> Taiqing Palace -> (🚌) -> Taiqing Cableway 🚡 -> (walk) -> Mingxia Cave This route is very smooth, and Taiqing Palace is a must-visit! As the setting of Pu Songling’s story "The Taoist of Laoshan," the pavilions and towers here, especially the wall with the "Wall-Passing Technique," are particularly worth literary enthusiasts’ time to savor. Travel tip: Remember to sit on the right side! You can enjoy unbeatable sea views all the way~ Downhill route: Mingxia Cave -> (walk) -> Shangqing Palace -> (walk) -> Longtan Waterfall -> (walk) -> Bashui River -> (🚌) -> Visitor Center Walking down slowly with stops along the way, the ancient Taoist temples and mountain streams bring peace to the mind. 😻 Cats in the Taoist Temples The cats in Laoshan are super friendly! Probably because they are fed by many tourists, each one is plump and very bold. They leisurely roam between the temples and the forest, sunbathing by the red walls or napping under ancient trees. Cat lovers absolutely cannot miss this cat paradise! 🌟 My feelings: Although I missed the sea view this time due to heavy fog, the autumn colors all over the mountain and the lazy, healing cats made this trip worth every penny! Next time, I definitely want to come back, take the Jufeng route, and see the blue sea and sky on a sunny day! 🎟️ Practical Tips Student benefits: Graduate students can also buy student tickets with valid ID (student card or CHSI verification)! Ticket info: We bought tickets for the South Line viewing area, which are valid for two days. If you have enough time, you can slow down and enjoy the trip! Weather: Emphasizing again, if you want to see the sea view, be sure to pick a clear sunny day!
