There is a parking lot at the foot of the mountain, and you can enter for free after scanning a QR code at the entrance. The temperature is comfortable around the Qingming Festival, making it perfect for hiking! Maogong Mountain is not far from the city center, and there are seasonal strawberry and grape picking nearby, plus the Laoshan Reservoir fish are quite famous, making it especially suitable for a half-day or one-day trip around Qingdao. 🎡Route: Enter through the main gate - Revolutionary Road Monument - enter the grand loop to the left rear. There is just one path all the way, just go straight. ✅The whole journey is over four kilometers, and it took less than two and a half hours with kids, three to four hours if you're slow. ✅The first half of the journey has more steps and a steeper slope, while the second half, especially when you start descending, is more stable with a gentle slope. ✅During the mountain closure period, even on holidays and weekends, there are very few people, and we didn't meet anyone along the way, which was very quiet. ✅There are many wildflowers along the way, and there are many benefits to hiking in the spring. ✅From the Fushou Golden Turtle spot, you can climb onto the rocks for a broad view, and you can see the Laoshan Reservoir in the distance, which is also visible on the way down the mountain. ✅There are not many rest stops. There are a few stone tables set up from Fushou Golden Turtle to Jinchan Wangyue, with two stone tables at Fushou Golden Turtle being unsheltered and quite sunny, while two stone tables from Qiu Chuji's Cultivation Spot to Jinchan Wangyue offer some shade. ✅There are no restrooms along the entire route🚻. ✅The grand loop ends at the Viewing Platform, which is the highest point most people reach when hiking, and from there you can normally walk down the mountain.
