Huitengxile Huanghuagou: Stunning Yet Challenging

Huitengxile Huanghuagou is stunningly beautiful, but it can also be a bit of a hassle. Why do I say that? Because the transportation system within the scenic area requires queuing for every ride. If you can tolerate this, then it's definitely worth visiting—it's truly breathtaking! ✅ Recommended Tour Route (Enter from North Gate, Exit from South Gate): North Gate ➡️ Cable Car ➡️ Electric Camel Cart ➡️ Cable Car ➡️ Grassland Mini Train ➡️ South Gate ➡️ Shuttle Bus back to North Gate As the sun sets and the wind blows through the grass, revealing cattle and sheep, trust me, this route will take you to the most beautiful scenery at the perfect time. 💙 ✅ Activities: After entering from the North Gate, you'll find grass skiing (don't go here yet; there's a better spot near the mini train later), a glass bridge, a glass slide, a petting zoo, camel rides, and some performances. ✅ Photography Tips: 1⃣️ Cable Car The short ride offers stunning views, perfect for video clips. Unfortunately, it's too short to fully enjoy the scenery. (The queue for this cable car can take nearly two hours. If the line is too long, consider walking downhill—it takes about 30 minutes.) 2⃣️ Mini Train Viewing Platform: After getting off the cable car at the mini train station, don't rush to board the train. Take a stroll around the area and snap some photos. This is the most scenic spot! Here's a little secret: I skipped the train ride because the scenery was so beautiful. I walked while taking photos and eventually reached the grass skiing area. It was a lot of fun, and you can capture great shots by recording videos and taking snapshots along the way. 📷 3⃣️ Grass Skiing Queue Area Lawn: This is the perfect spot to watch the sunset! The lighting is soft and ideal for photos, and you'll get to enjoy a stunning sunset view. 🌄 This is why entering from the North Gate is recommended—by the time you finish, it will be sunset, offering the best lighting for photos. ✅ Food and Accommodation: There are some food options at the entrance of the scenic area. Inside, the "Lang Ge Ge" grassland yogurt is quite good. You can also bring your own snacks. Both the North and South Gates have many yurts. The yurt in photo is near the South Gate exit, which is quite convenient. (We headed to a campsite near the volcano for the night and explored the Ulanqab Volcano the next day. 🌋) 📸 Photo Spots: ✔️ Huitengxile Grassland: Wind turbines, wildflowers, and blue skies—every shot is Instagram-worthy! ✔️ Horse Riding: Experience the joy of galloping freely like a true child of the grasslands. 🐎 ✔️ Grass Skiing: A thrilling grassland version of "Fast & Furious," it feels like you're sliding into the grasslands and clouds. 🛝 ⚠️ Tips: - Queues during the summer can be exhausting, and the queuing order is often chaotic. Be mentally prepared. - Spend more time in the southern area; it's absolutely gorgeous! - The scenic area is highly weather-dependent.
