I visited in mid-June on a weekday, and even though it was almost 10:30 AM, only a few shops were open. For example, Nicholas Seafood doesn't open until nearly 12 PM. After enjoying the seafood, you can grab a coffee from a cafe inside the fish market and relax at the outdoor seating area. However, be cautious of the Australian white ibis, which often tries to steal people's food. The fish market is currently undergoing expansion on the opposite side, so one side faces the construction site, making it less scenic.
