Lots of rare animals! [Lok Kawi Zoo]

#aug_trip My main purpose in Borneo was to see the proboscis monkeys. I took a river cruise to see the proboscis monkeys in the wild, but I wanted to see them up close... And so I found Lok Kawi Zoo. It's a little far from downtown Kota Kinabalu, but I was able to get there by Grab. In addition to the proboscis monkeys, I was able to see many other animals, including orangutans, Malayan sun bears, and Borneo elephants. My favorite was the gibbon! Its unique movements are very interesting, so it has become one of my favorite animals.
