Pula town and Roman ruins in Croatia

Pula Arena was built between 27 BC and 68 AD and is one of the oldest monuments in Croatia. The Adriatic Sea was the eastern defense line of the ancient Roman Empire, and these ports along the coast were quite important for strategy, trade, and of course, the various entertainments that were essential to Roman life. Compared with the 2.2km circumference of the Nimes Arena in France and the 1.5km circumference of the El Jem Arena in Tunisia, this one with a circumference of less than 400 meters is a mini version, but the facade is well preserved and looks exquisite and charming.
