That’s right, it was built between 1913 and 1914, and together with the “must-visit” Café Imperial, it has stood in the heart of Prague for over 100 years! On a sunny morning, I came to this European-style cafe and had a hearty breakfast to greet the new day! The decoration is so noble and elegant, it is a popular restaurant for receiving tourists. It was also selected as a Michelin restaurant in Prague (2020), but the price is not as high as imagined! Breakfast buffet costs only 405 CZK per person (in addition to food, it also includes unlimited juice and coffee). If you don’t plan to eat all you can, you can choose Imperial breakfast/English breakfast/French breakfast, which costs only 235-339 CZK! Compared to the century-old coffee shops in Vienna or Budapest, the prices are definitely much more affordable! It is said that the decoration of the Imperial Cafe has not been changed since 1914. The tiles on the walls and ceiling of the cafe are really beautiful, and there are flowers, plants and animals carved on the pillars. The gorgeous decoration is pleasing to the eye. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of food choices. In addition to many different types of bread, cheese, salads and fruits, there are also smoked salmon, ham, scrambled/fried eggs, baked potatoes, tomatoes, cheese... and so on.
