REVIEW OF PORTUGAL TRAVEL (LISBON – PORTO) ON YOUR OWN I went to Portugal for 6 days and 5 nights, spending 3 days in Lisbon and 2 days in Porto. Portugal is peaceful, has delicious food and beautiful sea views. PREPARATION BEFORE THE TRIP Schengen visa: apply at the Portuguese Embassy or via Spain (same bloc). Airfare: Hanoi – Lisbon round trip ~20–22 million/person. European travel sim: esim 20GB or buy sim at Lisbon airport. Sports shoes: Lisbon and Porto have many slopes and slippery stone pavement. TRAVEL Lisbon: buy Viva Viagem card to take tram, bus, metro. Porto: use Andante card or walk because the center is quite small. Between the two cities: Alfa Pendular express train (3h). CHECK-IN LOCATIONS Lisbon: Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, Praça do Comércio square, legendary tram line 28. Porto: Dom Luís I bridge, Sé cathedral, Ribeira street along the Douro river and Porto wine cellars. FOOD Pastel de Nata (Portuguese baked egg tart). Bacalhau (salted cod).
