The Closest Beach to KL | Port Dickson Day Trip

#springitinerary Port Dickson is known as the nearest beautiful beach area to Kuala Lumpur (KL). Taking advantage of the holiday, I went there with friends by car, and it truly lives up to its reputation! The sea is incredibly blue and when the weather is good, every photo looks like a masterpiece. Although it can't quite compare to the pristine beauty of places like Semporna or Redang Island, its proximity to KL makes it perfect for a day trip—a quick recharge for the soul. Our itinerary: We left Klang around 9 AM and arrived around 11 AM. Our first stop was Ah Shui Bak Kut Teh. At first, my friends joked about eating Bak Kut Teh coming from Klang, but after tasting it, they admitted it was just as delicious, if not better, than Klang’s own. Next, we headed to Port Dickson Beach. After checking out many guides on Xiaohongshu, I felt that the entire beach area was beautiful, and no matter where you stop, you can snap stunning photos. If you don’t want to wander too much, I recommend going straight to Zus Coffee, which sits right along the coastline. Sitting outdoors, sipping coffee, and feeling the sea breeze is absolutely relaxing. For food, there’s a nice Western restaurant right next door, also with a sea view—perfect for enjoying a meal while soaking in the scenery. Overall, a day trip to Port Dickson offers excellent value and is an ideal quick getaway from KL’s city hustle and bustle! #travelmalaysia
