Pohang bathed in sunset hues, Homigot Sunrise Square view

Located at 136 Haemaji-ro, Daebo-ri, Homigot-myeon, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Homigot Sunrise Square is a coastal park famous nationwide for its iconic 'Hands of Harmony' sculpture. While it is better known as a sunrise spot, I visited this time to enjoy the ocean view at sunset. At dusk, the sky and sea blend together in fiery red tones, creating a scene reminiscent of a movie. The moment when the sculpture's shadow stretches long and merges into the sea was truly unforgettable. Walking along the coastal trail, I also enjoyed exploring the lighthouse museum and commemorative sculptures on display. The tranquil atmosphere brought a sense of calm to my mind. The square is equipped with basic amenities like showers and free parking. Sitting comfortably by the sea to watch the sunset and then strolling under the moonlight was an incredible experience.
