The Ayutthaya ruins, Wat Ratchaburana, is also worth visiting. It is said that King Borom Racha II built this temple to carry out the cremation of his two older brothers who lost the battle for the throne. When it was restored in 1958, a treasure chest was discovered, which is now on display at the Chao Sam Phraya Museum. Murals from the Ayutthaya period also remain.
