Wat Mahaeyong, Ayutthaya

😁Hello friends, today, I traveled to the South and came to worship at Wat Mahaeyong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. 🙏🙏🙏 🌻Wat Mahaeyong or Wat Mahingong means mountain or mound. It is assumed that Mahingong is named after Mahiyangk Chedi, an important chedi in Sri Lanka. 🌺 🔥Wat Mahaeyong was once the location of the royal army of King Bayinnaung when he invaded Ayutthaya in 2112 (the first fall of the capital). 💥 ☀️Inside Wat Mahaeyong, there is a chapel, which is considered the largest chapel in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. In addition to the chapel, there is also an interesting elephant-shaped chedi and a wall. 🌿 🔔At the entrance to the chapel, there is a wall, which is a walkway with walls on both sides, connecting the entrance arch and the chapel. ✨ 🚩Wat Mahaeyong is currently an ancient site that has decayed over time, but it still has some of its original features. Evidence that can indicate the exquisite, beautiful and magnificent construction art in the past💫 🎯Wat Mahayongkhon is another temple that friends should not miss if visiting Ayutthaya. In addition to friends admiring the beauty of the temple's ancient sites, this place is also a place for meditation🧘‍♂️ 📍Wat Mahayongkhon is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with an entrance fee of 10 baht for Thais and 50 baht for foreigners. The Wat Mahayongkhon Meditation Center will be on the right.
