🗺️Destination Overview Ayutthaya is a city in Thailand, about 80 kilometers north of Bangkok. It was capital of the Kingdom of Siam, and a prosperous international trading port, from 1350 until razed by the Burmese in 1767. The ruins of the old city now form the Ayutthaya Historical Park, an archaeological site that contains palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues. The park is on an island between 3 rivers. 📍Itinerary: This itinerary is suitable for a short weekend getaway without taking extra anual leave! 👉Day 1: From Singapore fly to Bangkok, either Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK), about 2-2.5hours flight. 🧭Route If landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport, you can take taxi, Grab . As well as taking train. The Airport Rail Link connects Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to downtown Bangkok. The City Line, a rapid train, runs between Phaya Thai station and the airport, making 6 stops along the way. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with the first train at 5:30 am and the last at midnight. If landed at Don Mueang Airport, there is no train to city. Please check timetables and prices before departure date. Or buy driving, can rent a car or charter private transportation, about 2 hours drive from Bangkok Center to Ayutthaya, along the way will pass by Bang Pa-In Royal Palace, also known as the Summer Palace, is a palace complex formerly used by the Thai kings. It lies beside the Chao Phraya River in Bang Pa-in District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province in Thailand.
