The City Pillar Shrine of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province is a sacred site and a symbol of stability for the people of the ancient city. It is located in Talad Kao/Pratu Chai, near the Phra Kan Shrine and Talaeng Kaeng Intersection. The shrine is a four-sided pavilion (with doors on all four sides) featuring three stairways and a three-tiered prang-style roof, creating a majestic and solemn appearance. The city pillar inside the shrine is made from auspicious Chaiyaphruek wood, with its top carved into a seven-layered glass lotus design.
