Khun Inthaprom Temple

🎗Wat Khun Inthapramun is home to a large reclining Buddha statue called "Phra Si Mueang Thong". 📍Wat Khun Inthapramun is located in Inthapramun Subdistrict. 🏡 Built during the Sukhothai period, it is home to one of the largest and longest reclining Buddha statues in Thailand, measuring 50 meters long. 🎗It was originally enshrined in a chapel but was burned down, leaving only the reclining Buddha. It has a beautiful Buddha image with a smiling face, and there is also an octagonal chapel and pagoda, making it another place not to be missed when visiting this temple. ✨️The origin of the name of the temple, Khun Inthapramun, is that the villagers said that Khun Inthapramun was a tax collector who embezzled government funds to build and extend this Buddha statue until he was whipped to death.
