Wiang Lo ancient site

Wiang Lo Historical Park (Phra Lo City) is located far from Chun District. Archaeologists assume that it was a city during the reign of King Ngam Mueang because there are remains of the old city wall, many abandoned temples, the ancient pagoda and temple, which is Wat Si Ping Mueang. Near Wiang Lo, it is also the point where the Chun River flows into the Ing River. Therefore, this area is called "Sop Ing." The location of Wiang Lo Historical Park is about 17 kilometers from Chun District along Highway 1021 to Ban Huai Ngio. There is a fork that leads to a path to Ban Nam Chun for another 12 kilometers.
