La Seu. The welcoming fortress into Palma de Mallorca

The cathedral is right in the heart of Palma. Affectionately known as La Seu, the cathedral sits on the site of the mosque which originally stood opposite the Royal Palace of La Almudaina during the Moorish occupation of Mallorca. The Cathedral is known as the Cathedral of Light due its 61 stained glass windows. The most famous of which being the central rose window. This impressive building also has one of the highest naves in the world, reaching a height of 44 metres tall. The cathedral is in an ideal situation, located right by Parc de la mar, an excellent spot to relax, unwind and go for a walk whilst enjoying the views of the city all around.
