Hokkaido, which boasts a vast area, is dotted with many airports. Memanbetsu Airport is one of them. One of the attractions of an airport is the observation deck from which you can view the runway. I went to the observation deck at Memanbetsu Airport. At the entrance to the observation deck, an aircraft tire was on display. This time, I visited in the middle of winter, so the temperature outside was minus 10 degrees. It's a frigid world. Just walking outside makes your extremities, such as your ears, hurt.
