[Otaru, Blue Cave] Interesting rock formations!

Otaru is famous for its canals, but it also has a spot with strange rock formations. The spot is called the #BlueCave. It is about an hour by bus from Otaru city, and from there you can take a small boat tour. It is not very famous, so it is truly a hidden gem. The guides here are very enthusiastic and make the tour guests very entertaining. There are three #Instagrammable rocks: a rock with a human face, an elephant-shaped rock, and Godzilla Rock, and they stop the boat every time they see them. They also show us sea urchins as an introduction to seafood (apparently they are released back into the sea as soon as the tour is over to prevent poaching). And above all, the Blue Cave is a spectacular sight. It is beautiful even on cloudy days. The deer in the cave is an object of art.
