[Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture] Rape blossom festival in Sanbongi district

Sanbongi, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, is famous for its Sunflower Hill. In summer, it's famous for its fields of sunflowers, but did you know that in spring, the same place becomes a rapeseed field? The rapeseed fields are at their best around Golden Week. A cooperation fee is charged for each vehicle you enter, but you get sunflower seeds and a coffee voucher to drink at the roadside station, so it's a great deal! Apparently, 2 million rapeseed flowers are blooming on a vast 6-hectare plot of land. The people running the park kindly explained the details to us. You can buy rapeseed ice cream, local dumplings, and drinks at the shop inside the park. There are also plenty of benches so you can spend your time leisurely.
