It’s a funky, retro wonderland that feels totally different from the shiny parts of the city. In spring, it’s awesome to explore. The weather’s nice, the air smells like fried goodness, and everything’s buzzing in the chillest way. Tsutenkaku Tower watches over the area, and below it, you’ll find old-school arcades, tiny bars, and neon signs that feel straight out of the Showa era. And you have to try kushikatsu, deep-fried skewers of meat, veggies, cheese, you name it. Crispy, greasy, delicious. Just don’t double-dip in the sauce, it’s a rule! Shinsekai isn’t polished or fancy, but that’s the charm. It’s raw, real, and super nostalgic. A perfect spot for a spring wander with lots of flavor and character.
