#batamtrip The resort is undeniably beautiful, and the staff are friendly, but the experience felt more like renting an Airbnb than staying at a five-star resort. Since we booked through booking website, it felt like we were given a terrible room—far from what you'd expect at a luxury property. The walls had watermarks(water seeping behind the paint), there was lizard droppings everywhere, and some shelves were dusty. Overall, the room did not reflect the five-star standard they claim. Beyond the room, we encountered several other issues. The pool had loose tiles, making it unsafe, and the AC was unbearably loud. The hotel claims to be eco-friendly, but their approach felt more like cost-cutting. Guests must request basic amenities like slippers and extra bath products, and when we asked, they handed us used rubber slippers—completely unacceptable for a so-called luxury resort! We were also given only one small bottle of body wash for a three-night stay with two guests. Meanwhile, their so-called environmental commitment seemed selective—room service arrived in disposable food containers with plastic cups, contradicting their supposed sustainability efforts. The dining experience was another disappointment. The food was outrageously overpriced yet of poor quality, and the breakfast menu was underwhelming. On our last day, service was particularly bad—despite being told that fruits would be served to us(FYI they have to cut the fruits), it never arrived. My husband had to pick it up from the bar himself. This was especially frustrating since plenty of staff were standing around, yet none seemed attentive. Overall, this resort fails to deliver the quality and service it advertises. They need to improve their facilities, hospitality, and consistency if they want to live up to their five-star status.Nevertheless their buggy service is good and Spa Service is a must try.
