Showa Nostalgia: A Culinary Experience at Coffee Seibu Nishi-Shinjuku

Coffee Seibu Nishi-Shinjuku is located in the bustling Nishi-Shinjuku area, making it very accessible, just a few minutes' walk from Nishi-Shinjuku Station. The Showa-era decor of the shop gives a nostalgic feel, with wooden furniture and vintage decorations creating a cozy atmosphere. When we arrived, we waited in line for about 15 minutes, which is reasonable during the busy lunch hour. During this time, we admired the interior design and felt the strong Japanese cultural ambiance. Once inside, the menu offered a variety of desserts and main dishes. We eventually chose the classic omurice and the large parfait. The rice in the omurice was soft, wrapped in a tender egg skin, and paired with a rich sauce, making it very satisfying. The large parfait was a delightful layer of flavors, with fresh fruits and ice cream, offering an excellent texture and a pleasant surprise. The portions of both dishes were quite generous, making them perfect for sharing between two people. The budget for this meal was around 3,000 yen, which is quite reasonable considering the quality of the food and the ambiance of the shop. Overall, Coffee Seibu Nishi-Shinjuku is a highly recommended dining spot, with both the food and the environment making me look forward to visiting again.
