Nikko during autumn foliage

Nikko was really beautiful during the autumn foliage season! However, the road to the mountain was very crowded, and it took 2.5 hours to get to Lake Chuzenji, which usually takes 45 minutes by bus. It might be better to go on a weekday if possible. I personally think that Senjogahara is a must-visit spot. The silence of autumn was a wonderful natural landscape that represents Japanese aesthetics. Kegon Falls is magnificent and looks like a water dragon descending from the galaxy, so I recommend it. #Nikko #trip2023
