Brooklyn Botanic Garden

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is the most memorable stop on my trip to New York. This botanical garden in Brooklyn was founded in 1910 and is one of the most representative urban botanical gardens in the United States. The moment I stepped into the garden, it was as if I had walked into a secret place full of greenery, completely different from the hustle and bustle of the city. The botanical garden covers an area of ​​about 52 acres and is divided into dozens of theme gardens and greenhouses, including the Japanese Garden, Herb Garden, Rose Garden, Rock Garden, Desert Plant Greenhouse, Tropical Rainforest Greenhouse, etc. Each area has its own characteristics, fully demonstrating the perfect combination of horticultural art and plant diversity. I visited in late spring and early summer, with pleasant weather and hundreds of flowers blooming in the garden, which was dazzling. The first thing that caught my eye was the famous Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, which is one of the earliest Japanese gardens established in the United States. The winding paths, arched red bridges, elegant pavilions and quiet ponds complement each other, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. The koi fish swimming in the pond and the reflections of maple leaves and pine trees on the water surface make people feel calm and as if they are in Kyoto. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular photo spots in the park. Then I walked into the Herb Garden and the Cranford Rose Garden. The Herb Garden grows a variety of herbs, such as lavender, rosemary, thyme and basil, and the air is filled with a faint fragrance, which is very healing. The Rose Garden is another amazing place, with hundreds of roses of different varieties, colors and fragrances blooming together, and the scene is extremely spectacular. I walked in the garden, as if I was in a sea of ​​roses, and each flower seemed to be showing its charm to tourists. In the botanical garden, it is necessary to mention the Steinhardt greenhouse group, which is a series of glass buildings that simulate different climate environments inside and display plants from all over the world.
