This stone was created when magma erupted from the earth was rapidly cooled, and is called "Kurumaishi" because it has a radial joint that looks like a wheel, which is unique in the world. It has been designated as a national natural monument due to its rarity and strangeness. The Hanasaki Lighthouse stands on the Kurumaishi lying on the cliff, and it is very photogenic.
