📍 Presidential Palace, Nanjing ✨ One of the must-visit landmarks in Nanjing is the Presidential Palace, the former residence of the president during the last dynasty and the early Republic of China. The atmosphere is serene, surrounded by large trees and well-preserved historical buildings. ✨ We spent about 2-3 hours exploring the area as it is quite expansive. Inside, there are offices, meeting rooms, secret bureaus, and accommodations for former officials. It felt like walking through a historical movie set. My friends were thrilled to see Dr. Sun Yat-sen's office. ✨ What stood out the most was the combination of real buildings with exhibitions of photographs, old documents, and models, which provided a clear understanding of the political context of that era, especially the transition from monarchy to republic. ✨ There’s also a traditional Chinese-style garden within the premises, complete with pavilions, ponds, and small stone bridges. The peaceful atmosphere makes for stunning photos, especially in the afternoon when sunlight filters through the leaves beautifully. ✨ Admission is approximately 40 yuan per person.
