Yunshuiyao: A poetic retreat in slow time

Yunshuiyao, a hidden ancient town in Nanjing, Fujian, quietly tells the story of time in the embrace of mountains with its unique charm. Hegui Building and Huaiyuan Building, each adobe brick embodies the wisdom of ancestors, and each beam and column carries the memory of a family. Tulou are not only architectural marvels but also complete micro-societies, with ancestral halls, wells, and granaries, showcasing the unique lifestyle of the Hakka people. As dusk falls, Yunshuiyao takes on a different appearance. The lanterns of the tulou light up one by one, casting a warm yellow glow on the stone-paved roads. The distant mountains gradually fade into the night, while the nearby stream continues its gentle song. Sitting under the ancient banyan tree, listening to the chirping of insects and frogs, and watching the fireflies flicker in the night, time seems to slow down.
