The people of Nan joined together to restore and build a four-sided Thai-style shrine to cover the Ming City Pillar. As for the current Nan City Pillar Shrine, it was built in 2005 after the old one had deteriorated. The transportation is convenient. The road from Phrae to Nan Province alternates between flat and mountainous roads. Another flight route is Bangkok-Nan, taking 1 hour. Or there are buses, both Nakhonchai Air and Bangkok Bus Line, taking 9-10 hours. Nan City Pillar Shrine or Wat Ming Muang, you can park your car inside the temple. There is a church and a temple. Inside the church and temple, there are murals showing the way of life of the people of Nan. There is a city pillar that is a large log that two people can hug. The base is decorated with carved wood, lacquered and gilded, approximately 3 meters high. On the right hand side, there is a statue of an elephant that can pass through the elephant's belly for good fortune 3 times. Inside the temple, there is also a shrine of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Guan Yin). In the temple, there are offerings, incense, candles, and flowers from the temple. Donations are made according to your wishes. Next to the temple, you can walk to Nan Night Walking Street (Nan Night Food Market) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
