Pay homage to Thao Suranaree

The monument of Thao Suranaree, a Thai heroine who is in the hearts of all Korat people. It is considered a monument honoring the good deeds of the country's first common heroine. This monument is made of blackened bronze, 185 centimeters high, and weighs 325 kilograms. It is placed on a square base with twelve corners, 250 centimeters high. She is dressed in royal regalia in a standing position, her right hand holding a sword, the tip of the sword touching the ground, her left hand on her hip, facing west, which is the location of Bangkok. Inside, the remains of Thao Suranaree, or Ya Mo of the Korat people, are enshrined.
