Phra Pathommachedi Temple is a royal temple of the first class, type of royal monastery, located in Phra Pathommachedi sub-district, Mueang Nakhon Pathom district, Nakhon Pathom province. Its prominent feature is the Phra Pathommachedi or Phra Thommachedi, which is one of the largest and tallest pagodas in Thailand. The Phra Pathommachedi is a large pagoda with an inverted bell shape, decorated with overlapping tiles. It comprises four directional viharas, a two-tiered crystal wall, and houses the Buddha's relics. In front of the temple, there is a market with a wide selection of consumer goods. Those who come early in the morning can offer alms to the monks at the market.
