The construction style of Shuri Castle combines Chinese and Japanese construction techniques. Shuri Castle has three areas: the sacrificial area "Kyo-nouchi" where sacrifices and prayer ceremonies were held in the past, the residential area "Gouchihara" where the royal family lived, and the central administrative area called "Seiden".
