Hoping for peace at Nagasaki Peace Park

As many of us will know, Hiroshima and Nagasaki had been bombed when an atomic bomb was dropped onto each city during World War II, leading to devastating consequences. In memory of this historic event and the lives lost, Nagasaki Peace Park was built. This is also a must go place for locals, especially for students, as evident from the many school trips that are organised to this place. For tour groups who visit Nagasaki, this will also be one of the places of attraction to visit. There is a museum that depict the timeline of events in World War II and the dropping of the atomic bomb which ended the war. There is also a life size model of how the atomic bomb looks like on the inside, and the actual size of the bombs. For the outdoor park, there is the Peace Statue representing the hope for peace, and other monuments and memorials are also set up in memory of the victims who suffered and died from the bombing. This place is a sombre reminder that peace, stability and harmony should not be taken for granted, and everyone plays an important role in maintaining peace and harmony among ourselves. #fallingforfall #tripblazers
