Old Gates, Mountain Vibes, and K-Drama Feels

#summervacay Spent the day hiking around Mungyeong Saejae and it felt like I time-traveled, no joke. The whole trail follows this old mountain pass that used to connect Seoul and Busan way back in the Joseon era, and you can actually see the ancient gates still standing. Super cool and kind of epic, like something straight out of a sageuk drama. The hike itself is super chill. Gradual incline, nothing crazy, and you’re walking on a path that’s mostly stone or dirt, very manageable even in sneakers. You get this peaceful, forested vibe the whole way, with mountains around you and birds doing their thing. Stopped by the traditional village area too, cute houses, hanbok rentals, and random photo ops. Also had some hotteok near the entrance that slapped. Honestly, Mungyeong Saejae is a hidden gem. You get history, nature, and a solid workout without dying. Perfect for a day trip if you want something different but still lowkey.
