[Bosnia] A sad city full of traces of modern war

# chartered car Departing from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, a group of four of us chartered a car and passed through Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, to Mostar to browse this city full of sad war history. Located in the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mostar is one of the country's most iconic cities. The city is famous for its beautiful stone bridge, Stari Most, which spans the Neretva River and connects the east and west banks of the city. Mostar's architectural style combines Ottoman and European elements, showing a unique historical and cultural charm. Wandering the ancient streets, visitors can admire well-preserved medieval buildings, mosques and traditional Bosnian houses. Mostar's history is full of sorrow and turmoil. In the early 1990s, during the Bosnian War, Mostar became the center of intense fighting. In 1993, Starimo Tower was destroyed and became a symbol of the devastation of war. The collapse of this bridge was not only a physical loss, but also a heavy blow to the hearts of local residents. After the war, Mostar began a long process of reconstruction, and the reconstruction of Stari Mostar was completed in 2004, symbolizing the hope of peace and reconciliation. Today's Mostar, although the traces of the war can still be seen, is more of a city full of vitality and hope. When tourists come here, they can not only appreciate the magnificent natural scenery and historical sites, but also feel the optimism and tenacity of local residents for the future.
