The history of the Boulingrins Gardens

The "French-style" Boulingrins Gardens offer a magnificent view of the Monte Carlo Palace. This stunning mirror reflects the majestic Monte Carlo Palace in the center. A series of fountains, pavilions, and flower beds in the center of Monte Carlo. The garden was built in 1865, at the same time as the Grand Hotel in Paris. As early as the 17th century, people played bowling games on the passage through the garden. The garden paths were very popular with British customers, who called this meeting place "green", so "Bowling-green" became Boulingrins. The garden has undergone several renovations. The last one was completed in 1989, when an underground parking lot was built, dug into the rock and covered with concrete slabs. The current garden was built on the latter, so that people can enjoy a pleasant walk between the fountains and flowers.
