A lovely day trip from Budapest

#myhiddengems Miskolc is a small town which fits perfectly the idea of a day trip. While I did feel that another time when I return here, I might stay overnight. It's got a nice vibe. My trip was during Spring, so the weather was good. Generally, the warmer weather is nice for a walk around and enjoy the surrounding areas. During the summer time, one can also enjoy the waterpark found towards the southern part of the city near the thermal baths. Now I terms of local attractions. You can start with the blue and brown wooden church which is located next to the cemetery. The church gives a Translyvanian feel through its architecture. Moving on I made a stop at the lovers bridge. It is a cute little bridge with lots of locks by couples securing the duration of their love. The locks are mounted, one on top of another. This is in the center of town and won’t take much time to see. Next up and a highlight or the trip were the cave baths. The cave baths in my opinion are the star of Miskolc and a must visit if you find yourself in the area or passing by. It doesn’t matter if you visit during the summer or winter as there is an indoor and outdoor portion.
