A charming village trip

#myhiddengems Samobor made for a nice day trip during my stay in Zagreb. Croatia is starting to become a staple of my European holidays. And I've come to realise that all these lovely day trips and small cities with an old town might have something to do with it. Samobor deserves more credit than it is given. For a small place with cobblestone streets, lovely food and historic ruins. I shared a rented car with another friend of mine so it took us barely half an hour to get here from Zagreb. There are also buses to do so. Oh and no parking issues, something that always worries me about new places and renting a car. Now about things we managed to do or places to see included Wande king tomislav square, the church of St. Anastasia, old wooden bridge, a hike to the sombor castle ruins and the sombor museum. This felt just about enough and suited our pace. Although there might be some more local attractions worth seeing. Lastly, the town's famous somobor cream cake is worth trying.
