I used my travel grant to rent a kayak and venture into the center of the lake, where I could admire the Wanaka Tree and surrounding mountains from a different perspective. Paddling on the calm waters felt like a meditative experience. The clear waters allowed me to see deep into the water, and I was amazed by Wanaka's pristine nature. While September water play requires careful warming, the lake's relatively quiet atmosphere is a bonus. Experience Wanaka's natural beauty from the water!
