Milford Sound in New Zealand

Milford Sound is the largest and most famous fjord in New Zealand's Fiordland National Park. The sea extends 22 kilometers inland, where the fjord's surface intersects vertically with the cliffs, cut into a V-shaped cross-section by ancient glaciers. After the canyon sank, the current landscape was formed. Almost all the mountain streams have large and small waterfalls. On the cliffs, the waterfalls ding or roar, forming a beautiful natural symphony. The most famous waterfall is the Sutherland Falls, located on Milford Sound, with a total drop of 580 meters, ranking among the world's top. Boating in this fjord, you will see mountains surrounding, cliffs towering, waterfalls flowing, glaciers glistening, giving people an infinite sense of beauty. The 14 fjords on the west coast are 44 kilometers long in total, with the deepest being 500 meters. The fjords on the south coast are longer, with wider estuaries, and there are many small islands in between, with beautiful scenery, which can't help but marvel at the wonders of nature! No wonder British writer Kipling called it the 'eighth wonder of the world'.
