Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden: Kingdom of Tropical Plants

The Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences boasts a vast collection of tropical plants. The western area features flat terrain and serves as the main tourist zone, while the eastern area has rugged paths with abundant buttress root plants and strangler figs. Staying at the garden's only hotel, the King Lotus Hotel, allows for a more leisurely visit. This is also one of the few scenic spots that offers half-price admission with a teacher's certificate.
