South Melbourne Town + Rainbow Cottage

Melbourne is spring in November, and the weather is relatively cloudy and cloudy. The cloudy days and nights are still cold, and the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius on sunny days. However, there was a lot of rain. During the 7-day trip, only one day was sunny. The other days were gray with occasional rain/sunrise, so we often saw rainbows. We even encountered hailstones, which hit the roof of Tram’s car, which scared us and made us excited and surprised! Today's itinerary is Brighton Bathing Boxes-> South Melbroune Market-> China Town-> Haigh's Chocolate First stop: Brighton Bathing Boxes Rainbow Cottage Rows of colorful huts are located in Brighton Beach, a 25-minute drive from the city center in Melbourne. After getting off the bus at Middle Brighton Station, you can feel the leisurely atmosphere of the town. There are also coffee shops and shops along the way, which is very pleasant. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to Brighton Beach. There are more than 80 colorful and cute rainbow huts in a row, which is very spectacular. In addition to checking in, it is a good choice to come and enjoy the sun and take a dip on the beach. Address: 131 Esplanade, Brighton VIC 3186 Transportation: Take the Samdromgham subway line and get off at Middle Brighton Station, then walk for about 10 to 15 minutes to the coast. Second stop: South Melbroune Market South Melbourne Market South Melbourne Market is a country market located in South Melbourne, Victoria, which is still operating from the Victorian era to the present day. In addition to many restaurants, there are also many shops selling ready-to-eat seafood! Lobster, sea urchin and oysters are all bought and eaten fresh, very fresh and delicious! We had lunch at the "standing restaurant" here. There are large and small standing tables around the seafood shop, and there are various seasonings provided by the shop on the tables, which is very considerate~ The queue at the famous store Agathe Patisserie is not long, and we can quickly buy the desserts we want to try, which is really good! Address: 322-326 Coventry St, South Melbourne VIC Transportation: It takes about 15 minutes by bus from Southern Cross Station Third stop: Chinatown Melbourne Chinatown Back to Melbourne CBD, just come and see Melbourne’s Chinatown. Chinatowns were formed when Chinese immigrants immigrated overseas and became a local minority. Facing the new environment and needing to work together, they lived in groups in one area. Therefore, most Chinatowns are a testimony to the history of overseas Chinese. Melbourne's Chinatown was established in 1854 during the Victorian gold rush era. Many restaurants and ground floor shops with Chinese-style names have been opened along the sidewalks, and two red Chinatown archways have been erected at the traffic lights on Russell Street as landmarks. Address: Little Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000 Australia Transportation: Located in the city center, accessible by bus, tram, or train Stop 4: Haigh's Chocolate Time to buy souvenirs! HAIGH'S CHOCOLATES is an Australian domestic chocolate brand. The founder, Alfred E Haigh, opened the first HAIGH's CHOCOLATES in Adelaide in 1915. The brand continues to this day and has a history of more than 100 years. After four generations of hard work, it has now become Australia's best quality chocolate brand. One of the best chocolate brands. All the cocoa beans used by Haigh's have obtained UTZ Certification, so the quality is guaranteed. UTZ Certification is an internationally recognized certification that ensures that manufacturers produce raw materials such as cocoa beans and coffee beans in an environmentally responsible and non-exploitative manner. The most important thing is that Haigh’s is only available in Australia and will not be exported to other countries, so it is very suitable for buying as souvenirs! address: 1) 26 Collins Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000 2) Shop 7-8, The Block Arcade, 282 Collins Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000 3) 138 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000 #australiatravel #australia #melbourne #melbournetrip #melbournecity #melbourne #melbourne attractions #melbourne good places #brighton #rainbow cabin #south melbourne market #melbourne chinatown #Australian souvenirs #haighs Little Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000Australia

A good train ride south from Melbourne downtown and there we reached Brighton Beach, famous for its colorful beach boxes. Even if we visited in early February, summertime, the weather was not the most ideal for a bath, but we did enjoy the picturesque scene of the bathhouses decorated in bright colors. Nearby, and en route towards the train station there is a street filled with cafes and restaurants for a yummy break before heading back to downtown #melbourne #australia #momentsmission
