It was a trip to Melaka, Malaysia 🇲🇾We started our Melaka adventure by visiting the iconic Dutch Square. The vibrant red buildings, including the Stadthuys (the former Dutch colonial administrative center), are a must-see for anyone interested in history and architecture 🙌 It’s the perfect spot for photos with the striking red backdrop 📸 We recommend visiting in the morning when the area is less crowded and the sunlight creates beautiful contrasts against the red structures ✨ 📍Dutch Square, Jalan Gereja, 75000 Melaka Right next to Dutch Square is Christ Church ⛪️ one of the oldest Protestant churches in Malaysia. The whitewashed facade and the red bricks of the surrounding buildings create a perfect contrast, making this a wonderful spot for photos 📸 We visited in the late morning, which gave us the best light for capturing the church’s stunning details ✨ 📍Jalan Gereja, 75000 Melaka We also explored A Famosa, the remains of a Portuguese fortress that dates back to the 16th century. The Porta de Santiago gate is an iconic photo spot, especially with the surrounding greenery 🌳 We recommend visiting here in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat and capture the best lighting on the historical ruins 😍 📍Jalan Parameswara, 75000 Melaka We then headed to Jonker Street, known for its vibrant market and cultural attractions. This street is perfect for capturing the fusion of Chinese and Malay architecture. We also recommend taking pictures of the colorful lanterns that line the streets 💯The best time to visit is in the late afternoon, as the street comes to life, and the market is buzzing with energy 🔋 📍Jonker Street, 75200 Melaka We also visited the beautiful Melaka Straits Mosque, located on a man-made island just off the coast. The mosque’s stunning architecture, especially during sunset 🌇 provides incredible photo opportunities with the sea 🌊 and sky in the background.
