Friends, today I want to share an amazing historical artifact with you—the Thousand Buddha Iron Pagoda of Meizhou. This iron pagoda was cast in the eighth year of Dabao in the Southern Han Dynasty (965 AD), isn't it incredibly ancient? Standing quietly, it's like a living history book. It's 4.2m high. Although it doesn't appear to reach the sky, it possesses a unique sense of solemnity. Its base is 1.6m wide, square-shaped, firmly rooted in the earth. The most breathtaking part is the tower body! Each side is cast with 250 Buddha statues of varying sizes, totaling 1,000 statues on all four sides. Each of these Buddha statues has a unique expression. Although they are only about 3.6 cm high and 2.8 cm wide, the carving is incredibly detailed. Look closely, and you can almost see the infinite effort and exquisite craftsmanship of the artisans from that time. Standing in front of the Thousand Buddha Iron Pagoda, you can't help but imagine the beliefs, lifestyles, and aesthetic concepts of the people during the Southern Han Dynasty. This is not just an iron pagoda, but a mark of an era, carrying the thousand-year-old heritage of Buddhist culture.
